Breastfed babies have chubby cheeks

Chatted with my dad today and he and his partner had seen the latest pics of my children. Apparently, according to his partner who happens to be a doctor, it is obvious that my DD is breastfed because she has such chubby cheeks.
Anyone heard this one before?

A bf toddler tends to be leaner than a ff one. Not sure about the chubby cheeks on a bf baby. I had a chunky bf baby & a slim one. Otoh, most ff babies & toddlers I know tend to be much chunkier than their bf counterparts

DS was bf pretty much exclusively for almost 9 months and was a complete porker little pudding. Mainly due to 2 hourly feeds

My DS has got huge chubby cheeks - but I first noticed them on his 30week scan so they're not a result of BF

I have heard however that you can tell if a baby is BF because the nostrils will be flared to allow for air entry whilst face is pushed against the breast. My DS does have flared nostrils as do other BF babies I know

Neither of my two have flared nostrils.

You can tell the breastfed babies.

They're the ones that tend to yank your blouse down in public when they're hungry.

A health visitor said dd had breastfeeding cheeks!

My neice had the chubbier cheeks I've ever seen though and she was bottle fed.

DD is FF and has amazing chubby cheeks and is long and lean with the softest skin I've ever felt

I'm not sure there's much to do with the food they get...
