12 week old hates being fed!

All of a sudden she has started screaming whilst feeding. She shakes her head from side to side, latches onto the bottle, takes 1-2 sips then gets angry and stops. It's taken me an hour to get 4 oz into her. She normally feeds so well.

She doesn't have wind. She has also started putting her hands in her mouth as soon as she stops feeding. Could she be teething? She seems very restless and irritable. I tried some bonjela a few minutes before her feed but it didn't seem to help!

And advice?

Anyone? She is getting so distressed now when we feed her. Hmm

My baby does this but is breastfed (started when she was 11 weeks). I think the putting her hands in her mouth is for comfort (my DD does this too).

Some mums here have told me that it could be reflux - I'm monitoring it closely and trying to get a GP appointment but gripe water seems to help a little. I think it's because it has a mild antacid in it which combats the acid.

Sorry, not sure if this is entirely helpful but didn't want to read and run - I know how distressing it is as I'm going through it too!

Thanks Blue. Sorry to hear you are going through the same thing. It's horrible to see them so distressed.

I bought some anbesol and put a little on her gums last night before her evening feed at 7pm. She gulped down 7oz and slept until 2.30am which is unheard of! Have done the same again this morning and she is eating fine. Touch wood it lasts!!

I don't know that she is teething, too young? But it's either coincidence or it helped? Hope your littluns feeding gets better soon.
