ebf, kit days and supply/mastitis

Hello

My 21 week old dd is ebf, she will take a bottle of formula and im happy giving ff as a one off as i find expressing a complete faff and it would take me about a month to express enough for a day.

But having had mastitis and subsequentlow supply twice in the early days i dont want this again.

Work have asked me to do 2 full kit days without dd but will be flexible if i say i have to take her/can only do a half day (&not worried about this looking unprofessional but im not averse to doing the whoke day if it can be managed). I know they have to give me time/space to express but its a new open plan office with limited private space so this is tricky, and im not that confident at expressing altho do get more when ive missed a feed. I have a medela swig ekectric pump if thats relevant.

Whats possible in terms if missing feeds and not getting mastitis/maintaining supply? What would you do?

Hi, I'm ebf DS 17wo and last week worked two morning (4hrs) to make one kit day. For me, it meant missing one feed around 11am and I didn't notice any difference in supply or engorgement as a one off. However I was as keen for him to feed as he was as soon as I walked in the door, in a similar way to first thing in the morning if they've slept well.
In my absence DS was given a bottle of formula - first day he took very little and had to be coaxed into it, the second day it was easier. He seemed unaffected :)
Enjoy your kit days!!
