This has probably been asked a thousand times on here and at the weekly breast feeding group I attend i am told to let her sleep but... DD2 is 9wk old tomorrow, she is EBF and is sleeping 12hr straight at night. In no way am i complaining but i am concerned this is going to affect my supply. She has been sleeping 8+ for about 5wk now but recently 12hr, she goes to bed at 7:30pm and i express before i go to bed around 11pm (to help ease engorgement as my boobs are literally going to explode come 7:30am. Im also freezing what i pump as i am having a night away for my 30th birthday soon). She is obviously getting what she wants in the day as she is feeding every 1.5-2hr but i read so much about how babies this small shouldnt go so long between feeds.
I got incredibly poorly with DD1 when breast feeding (mastitis leading to a breast abscess - i would only feed at home as i was scared to nurse in public so it was bound to end in disaster) which lead to me quiting at 12 weeks and i dont want that to happen this time round.
Thanks

I'd let her sleep, especially as she's feeding frequently in the day and you're expressing at night.

Ds1 started sleeping through at 7 weeks and was ebf until he started weaning at 6 months. I fed him myself until he was 10 months old. Your body will soon adjust. As long as your dd is gaining weight then I don't think their is a problem. Just take advantage while it lasts Grin

Thanks for your replies. Will take advantage then as im pretty sure it wont last forever. She is gaining well, averaging 0.5lb a week. Will go with it then and continue to follow her lead :)

Definitely leave her IMO. DD slept through 7/7 from 8 weeks and DS from 10 weeks without any issues.

I'd try and reduce the expressing too. Let your supply adjust.
