Dd is 8 weeks old and has always been quite a fussy feeder. She'll have one side then need winding, then isn't usually that interested in the second side for 20min or so but will grizzle until then and so I'll keep offering until finally she has a decent feed from that side.

All this coming on and off is very wearing, especially when I've got a toddler to chase after.

Does anyone else's baby just simply have a feed and then seem quite content for a bit? Or is this fussy behaviour normal? I'm seriously considering mix feeding at this rate...

DS was the same at this age - it was hard work. By 10 weeks he was bigger and started spacing feeds much more, then it just got easier and easier.

Thanks for replying superworm ; I've had a really crap day and that helped :)

I'm starting to wonder whether the fussiness could be due to her not actually wanting a feed but some other issue (wind etc). It's the dreaded night time again now so we'll see how this goes. I get so frustrated with her when she won't feed properly at night :(

There us a big growth spurt around now. Do you have the wonder weeks app? Saved my sanity.
