Hi tiktok. If I have 2yo and rather than stoping bf can I teach him that the bf is only before bedtime? I am working full time and too exhausted to carry on demand etc

Hi - answer is yes you can :)

The great thing about 2-year-olds is they have a good understanding, and a good memory :)

Depending on how verbal he is, you can just explain that [whatever his word for bf is] is just for after the bath or whenever you give it. Have a special place/chair for it, and only ever use it for these feeds.

You do have to be consistent though....it's not fair to him to sometimes bf him and sometimes not. If you do find it too hard to stick to 'bedtime only' you can continue but only ever use that chair.

Some ideas here:

No idea :)

Only you can answer that.

If you want to go back to one feed a day, then it's likely your ds will comply.

He will be fine whatever you do :)
