Help! My 20 month old milk monster

Hi
Im hoping for a bit pf advice what to do with my dd who will be 20 months next week.
She was bf for 14 months after being a bottle refuser for the first 12 months of her life. We slowly got her used to bottles, first with expressed bm and then formula. She soon learned to love her "bot bot" and we made the switch from formula to cows milk two weeks ago.
My problem is that she is still having three 9oz bottles a day- in the morning, at linchtime/ nap time and at bed time. If I do not offer her a bottle she will start demanding a bot bot and downs the milk in one sitting. At bedtime she has even started drinking 9oz and then not settling until she has been given another 7-8oz!
I just dont think it is normal for a nearly 2 year old to be so hung up on milk! I dont think that she is truly hungry as she has three meals a day (typically cereal and fruit/ toast for bfast, omlette or beans on toast and a yoghurt for lunch and something like spaghetti bolognese or cod, potatoes, carrots and peas for dinner) with plenty of snacks inbetween.
Any advice on how to wean her off milk, its costing me a fortune!

Thanks

I haven't been in this situation, but I would start by offering morning milk in a sippy cup until she's used to that. Then introduce it for the lunchtime milk as well. Presumably she drinks water from a sippy cup at the mo?

You could also try gradually reducing the amount in the evening bottle so that she doesn't notice it. Then also switch that to a sippy cup.

It could well take a long time to persuade her as it's taken a fair while to get to this point.

Just for any future reference, it's not necessary to introduce bottles after 12 months. Babies that are bottle fed are recommended to drop bottles from this age anyway, so introducing them for breastfed babies is not necessary. So you could go straight from breastfeeding to cows milk in a sippy cup, after 12 months.
