Night weaning advice/tips

So I'm going to start cutting down on nighttime bf's for my 9 mth old..last night she did 7.30-1.30am without a feed (3 lots of settling with a cuddle, didn't try and sniff out milk) - thinking that was a good start? So do I now stick to no feeds between bedtime and 1ish, then say yes to a feed around then and then again at say 6am? She wanted feeding again last night at 3.30 then 6.
Anyone have any tips and advice?

Dr Jay Gordon's method is useful to read! it will give you an idea of how to go about doing it.

Some babies aren't ready for no night feeds, some are, you will know your own dd. I know for certain that dd was always hungry at 11pm and always hungry at 3am. I slow pushed the 3pm back (over time and certainly not immediately) and kept the 11pm one. At 9 months, IMO they still need milk at night, so I wouldn't drop too many feeds, but you can try to settle without and see what happens.

She will continue to go through growth spurts at varying times, so you would vary milk intake according to her demands. If she settles immediately, great, if not, I'd offer milk.
