when will my milk settled down?

hi'i am 2 weeks away from giving birth and I am hoping to bf.i was just wondering how long it will take for my milk to settle down so I can buy a decent nursing bra.at the moment I just got a cheapest one that goes on back size rather than cup size.someone told me it can take up to 8 weeks to settle down.is this true? Please help I am so clueless

Took me 3 months and even now one boob is clearly twice the size of the other and they both inflate/deflate to a difference of about 3 cup sizes between feedings, so no matter what size bra I wear it will never fit.

Sorry- that doesn't help much but I am probably an extreme. I can't wait for my boobs to return to some form of normality and have considered stopping breastfeeding because I am so conscious of how odd I look; but then I look at my baby when she pauses from feeding to smile at me and I know it is totally worth it :)

I got one pre-birth although I could hardly stand anything touching my boobs for the first two weeks and walked around with them hanging out half the time and then got fitted again about 6wks in. Those fitted me until I stopped wearing them when DD was 13mo.

I think mine settled down around 6/7 weeks in both times - second time just wore one of those Mothercare stretchy crossover sleep ones until I was fairly sure I was staying the same size, then got measured for something decent.

I got Bravado bras which feel very comfy and supportive, but have some stretch to cope with changing sizes.

I've spent more on nursing bras than all my maternity clothes put together due to massive fluctuations in size and recurrent plugged ducts.

Now at almost 12 weeks I can't even wear a proper bra (instant plugged duct) and just wear mothercare crossover stretchy sleep "bras"

the Royce Blossom bras are fab - they cover 3 cup sizes so cope with fluctations in size. I'm somewhere around 32gg and can vouch they are very supportive considering no wires and not too hideous, you can make them more of a plunge shape as well as a crop top type one- the latter great fo when the milk came in. Would link but am typing one handed at awkward angle as bf dd (fwiw 5 weeks in here, fairly settled in terms of size unless she has a big sleep!)

meant to add- I got mine in usual prepg back size and used extenders for the first few weeks, now using without.
