Currently feeding DS2 who is permanently attached to my boob (day 2 in the world) and wondered if there is a chance my milk will come in earlier as it's my second child?

Had DD2 midday Tuesday Milk came in early Thursday, not through the night but by breakfast time, was so thankful she had not been off me for almost 24 hours. I was so tired and stressed I even spoke to a midwife about giving her formula if it didn't come in by a certain point.

I can't remember when it came in for DD1 but she definitely didn't attach continually like DD2 did.

Congratulations by the way.
Day 2 as in he was born yesterday? What time of day.
I ended up letting her sleep on the bed next to me and a cleaner came in and said you'll really get told off put her in the cot I'll show you a trick I learnt in natal.

I was too tired to argue, DD2 was asleep on me I put her in. The cleaner rolled up a hand towel and made an arc shape around her head and as it made contact with her we watched her little body relax... was very weird but gave me about an hour of rest.

Thank you. He was born yesterday at 7am. Hasn't got off the boob much since yesterday evening and midwife said he won't until the milk comes in.

Will try towel trick if I can put him in crib.

Born 9am on monday. Milk came in tuesday eve/weds morn.

Tuesday eve I definitely had some mik but not rock hard breasts. Weds morning my breasts were fuller and harder but never as much or as painfully with DS1.

Good luck!

Born 3pm on a Friday, milk came in overnight on Sunday night. Weirdly she didn't do the constant attachment to the boob before that. In fact she slept for 5 hours overnight! Making up for it now though..

Congratulations :)

Slightly earlier here as well - late day 3 for DS1, late day 2 for DS2.

I don't know really. He was born on the Sat afternoon and by the time I went home on the Monday morning, he was producing yellowish nappies and I could see milk residue in his mouth. He was a v good feeder and I had none of the engorgement or pain of first time round. It was almost seamless.
