Rotten eggs?!

Have a gorgeous new 4 day old DD and ebf.

All going well and think milk came in yesterday. Last night she fussed at the breast and screamed and screamed for about 3 hours drawing her little legs up with wind.

The gas she did pass smelt like rotten eggs/sulphur. Really offensive.

Just wondering if anyone else knew why? Her dad is gluten intolerant so bit worried I've ingested gluten and then passed it to her via my milk? Or possibly the antibiotics I was given during the c section? Or could this just be normal? Internet suggests that could be dairy?

Any advice/thoughts appreciated as last thing I want to do is cause her pain!

Sounds like colic/ trapped wind.

Infacol would be worth a go.

Congrats on your snuggly baby Grin

... And google baby massage techniques - bicycling legs etc.

Really useful IME

Its unlikely to be an issue with dairy, iirc this shows up at arpund 2-3 weeks. Likely just wind to do with your abundant new milk?

Thanks. I did read my post back and come across bit neurotic! I think if her dad wasn't coeliac I wouldn't be as worried.

It is normal to be neurotic! You have a precious tiny baby to take care of x
