I want to continue breast feeding but I want to start stopping night feeds and be able to leave ds with dh for bedtime. At the moment, while I don't feed to sleep I bf to sleepy which is how ds gets himself to sleep.

Ds will not take a bottle and I don't really want to start that now. Has anyone been through this?

Oh he also doesn't like formula as a drink so I give it to him in meals and on cereal to make up for the fact that I don't bf between 7 am and 4pm now.

So, when do you do the last milk feed of the day when you're stopping ebf? Cow's milk in bedroom? After tea? After bath? Don't know if this makes sense...

Thanks in advance.

When I stopped ebf ds1 I did the last feed of day after bath, exactly as per bf used to be but with bottle of cows milk instead. After a while the bottle was swapped to a sippy cup. It was harder to get rid of night feeds than to swap the bedtime feed - that was the last one of all to go.

Thanks Cake. Yep I have a long way to go still.
