EBF and Endometriosis

Hi, just wondering if any fellow mumsnetters had experiences to share about the effect breast feeding had on their endometriosis?

I had a Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy with diathermy in Oct '12 after 2 years unsuccessful ttc. They found my pelvis and ovaries stuck down with moderate endo, hence no conception. My symptoms were gluten intolerance/gasto issues and heavy, painful periods.

Following a successful first round of IVF in April '13, I am now ebf my 17 week old daughter. I have managed to ebf, phasing out evening formula top ups, from about week 4.

My period is yet to return, so might I be correct in my assumption that my endo is being kept at bay by breast feeding? Has anyone found their symptoms of endo stayed away whilst breast feeding?

I'm hoping to feed my daughter until she is a year old and ready for cows milk. I'm wondering if my chances of conceiving naturally or FET (frozen embryo transfer) will be improved on 8 months' time if my endo does not grow back during this time, given that my womb lining is not shedding with a monthly period?

Did anyone find periods/endo returned when weaning, or baby slept through (my lo wakes once for a feed at 3am ish after last feed 8pm).

Apologies this is so long. Hope to hear some experiences. Thanks.
