Manual pumping

LO is 5 weeks and I can usually express around 1-2oz with my Medela Swing electric but can't get anything when I use my Tommee Tippee manual pump. I tried the Avent manual but found it hurt my breast so I've now got 2 pumps that are no use whatsoever! Is it me? I'm sure I had a TT manual when I fed my older DD and managed fine so don't know what I'm doing wrong. Why such a difference? Help!

I use TT manual and can only really express in the morning when boobs are pretty full, so timing may be an issue?

I used the Avent and found I had to hold it loosely and try.not to press it into my breast, and squeeze the handle it quite softly, if that makes sense, otherwise the suction seemed to increase dramatically and be quite sore.
