Does this sound like mastitis?

Not sure whether to bother the docs or not.

General pain/ache feeling in left boob, isolated to near the areola and feels very tender
Feeling exhausted and achey
Hot flushes
Looks a bit red where the pain is.

Think I've answered my own question but worth getting another opinion.

DS is DC2 but never had this with DD

Yes it definitely sounds like early symptoms of an infection, best get checked than leave it. Hope you feel better soon!

Just noticed I have an appt for my implant tomorrow so will mention it.

What helped me was putting a warm flannel on the area and gently massaging while ds fed
