Just a quick question about freezing breast milk.

Can I put milk into the freezer that has previously been in the fridge for some time (I.e I thought I might have needed to use it but didn't), or Can milk only go in the freezer straight from being expressed?

Five days in fridge six months in freezer if in a sterile environment is the advice I was given, and yes you can freeze if its been in the fridge less than five days.

If your fridge temperature is under 4 degrees, up to 5 days is ok. Otherwise, use within 3 days.

Personally, I would freeze within 3 days or chuck it just so I know I'm definitely freezing fresh milk.
