How to get bf baby to take bottle

MistletoeBUTNOwine · 04/05/2014 19:46

DS is 16 weeks old and breast fed. He was having a combination of breast and ff from 5 days due to undiagnosed TT, which was snipped and by 12 weeks we'd stopped ff altogether. Now he won't take a bottle at all. Any help great fully accepted; I need to be able to leave DS with dp sometimes!!
Using MAM bottles.

Have you tried a cup instead?

What kind of cup?

Has dp tried to give a bottle? ds would take one when I went out but not if he knew I was in!

Dp has tried, but only when I've been home too. Supposed to be going to airport to pick up my aunt and uncle tomorrow but will mean being away for around 7 hours.... Dp fine looking after him, was actually looking forward to it, but worried he'll get himself too upset and not have any milk at all. WIBU for me to leave DS for 7 hours in the hope he'll take a bottle? Don't know what to do!!! Shock

There is some info here on alternatives to bottles but I think you may have left this too late. 7 hours seems a long time to leave him for the first time without knowing he will take some milk.
