Help! This may be a dim question, I've just stopped bfing dd2 whose 6.3 months. She's been on hipp stage1, all fine. As such I have lots of powder to use up, but haven't been able to get any stage 1 cartons. I have stage 3 ready made bottles, can I give her this when needed but use up the stage 1 powder when I can? Any harm in mixing them? I'd also like to introduce stage 3 gradually as she gets constipated and I've heard follow on milk makes it worse.

Thanks x

There is no need to use follow on milk at all, it's a marketing gimmick and yes it can cause constipation.

Hipp do do the ready made cartons of stage one, it's not always very well stocked though.

I would say that sounds fine but 5mad is right - you can stay on stage 1 if you want to :)

Thanks, good advice. Main reason I want to get on stage 3 is that the ready made bottles are much cheaper then the stage 1 cartons (which are never in stock hereabouts anyway)... Just can't get my head round the powder, letting the water cool for 30 mins etc so ready made much better.

Ta both x
