Introducing a bottler after 8 weeks - too late?

DS2 has defeated me on sleep now so I would like DP to be able to do one night feed of formula.

Has anyone managed to introduce a bottle this late successfully? I've heard that you are supposed to start in the first 4-6 weeks.

When DS1 was tiny, we were having various feeding difficulties and I was worried introducing a bottle would make them worse, so I delayed trying one. He had his first when he was 10/11wo and took it fine then, and on the odd occasion he had one afterwards.
