Double pumping vs single pumping - WWYD?

I'm exclusively pumping to give myself a break. My background is my 10 wo DD has TT which has been cut twice and a high palette. Feeding has been getting more and more painful. If I feed her myself she will feed for over an hour, fall asleep and then an hour later still want/need more. She also is very fussy on the breast too and leaks milk from her mouth

I think she has a shallow latch too and she has clamped on my nipple from day one. I've worked on positioning, the extended nipple flick, breast compressions to try to help.

I have started to pump exclusively and I have seen a massive difference in the length of time between feeds and with how contented DD is. I just need to work on getting my supply up so I can stop the formula top ups and hopefully return to bf.

Everything I've read recommends double pumping, however I seem to have more success single pumping. I don't know what to do for the best?

If single pumping is working for you and you're not actually getting any more milk from double pumping, I wouldn't see any reason to change?
