Hi all. I have a 13 week old baby fully breastfed. The first few weeks I had an awful time with it but persevered. Glad I did as I'm enjoying bf now. I've tried to express but I'm having no luck and I loathe expressing plus I can't seem to express much and it just brings back memories of first few weeks which where awful. Anyway I have an all day job interview. I've decided to leave formula for baby. Has anyone else done this just for one day? 8-5. How have you found it?im feeling v guilty!!

Baby will likely be fine - being left with someone she knows and fed often - I'd try her with a bottle before the big day as practice though.

You on the other hand might turn into Pamela Anderson and/or leak. You will very likely need to express at some point in those nine hours - how can you fit that in? Make your plan now.

Good luck x

Would hand express work do you think? I often go 8 hours at night without feeding x

Well it depends - how often would you normally feed her during the day? Your body will expect feeds at similar times so you might end up uncomfortable.

Hand expressing would be fine but you'd need to make sure you had privacy and suitable clothing.
