Extended bf and nursing bras

For those of you who continued bf, but only first thing and bedtime/night - did you go back to normal bras? If so, do you just pull bra up/down/off at bedtime feed? DD is 1yo and I desperately need new bras and I really don't want to shell out on new nursing bras when she only feeds twice a day...

Yup I went back to normal bras when I stopped the day time feeds (about 10 months). I was usually in my jammies anyway for her feeds (lazy mummy in the evenings!) so no real need. Occasionally I feed her out and I just pop a boob out. This happened to coincide with when I fitted back into my pre-preg bras which was handy!
It was so lovely wearing a pretty bra again

I've stuck with feeding bras, but only because I've found one sort (an Anita one) that fits really well.

I liked the anita bra too , but it got too big and I was very happy to see my old bras again!!

I went back into normal bras at 7 months as DD took to food really well and drastically cut her feeds.

If needed I could still get a breast out over the top of the cup.

Great - thanks. Back to normal bras it is - hurrah!

I went back to normal bras once supply was established - so at about 8w.

These puppies need a wire.

I stayed in nursing bras until I stopped feeding when ds was 2. I then waited a couple of months to make sure my boobs had finished changing shape. Then I went out and spent lots of money on lovely new bras and underwear sets. About 2 months after that I found out I was pg again and in literally a matter of days I had to go back to my maternity bras. Most of my lovely new ones remain unworn Sad

I went back to normal bras (converted with clips myself) in a few weeks and just normal bras around 5-6 months when DS started dropping daytime feeds. Absolutely hated the droopy monoboob nursing bra look.

CityDweller · 25/04/2014 15:11

My nursing bras didn't give me droopy monoboob! And are quite pretty (Sophie bra from Bravissimo)! But they're old and losing their elastic. And I miss t-shirt bras - especially as 'summer' approaches.

Mine give a horrid shape even though they are Anita underwired.

When I went back into proper, supportive bras people asked me if I'd lost weight they made so much difference to my figure.
