Dr Brown's bottles

has anyone used Dr Brown's bottles? my daughter has just been prescribed gaviscon to try and help relieve what we think is colic and reflux. we have been recommended these bottles but dont want to spend out on them if no good. also can they be sterilized in a tommee tippee electric steriliser? please share your thoughts and experiences

If you think she may have colic or reflux, Hess she also been checked for tongue tie?

What symptoms is she experiencing?

We have dr browns and used them as our baby was so windy. She's grown out of this now, but we still use them rather than buy replacements! We went straight to this bottle so I can't compare the effect it had really.

We have a boots steriliser which they fit, but not sure about the tommy tippee one - if it helps, the bottle when assembled including cap is about 20cm tall, the bottle bit just on its own is about 15cm. There are 6 parts to the bottle so you'll find you have it on a lot!

The idea is that the air gets dissipated in the bottle rather than back in the milk for the baby to then swallow back down. What we found really annoying is that when you warm the milk, it gets sucked up the blue vent thing and gushes out - they can be really leaky which drove us mad. I'd recommend the travel caps for when you shake or heat up the formula - I assemble the rest of the bottle together just before feeding which works fine.

Our baby gets on much better with these bottles (was v sicky with tommee tippee ones) but only using occasionally for expressed milk. We put them in our tommee tippee stand alone steriliser.
