Sterilising bottles without a steriliser.

It was a very happy day when we took the bottle steriliser off the kitchen counter. The second baby platypus is due in a couple of months and I really don't want to get it out again. We have a very small kitchen and no microwave (don't want one either). I only plan to use bottles for breast pump and EBM. We have some very big saucepans - has anybody sterilised bottles just by boiling or is it more hassle than its worth?

What about a lidded container and do cold water/milton sterilising, only takes 15 minutes and can be put away again after?
