Razor-sharp tiny teeth.

Ds is 6.5 mo and his bottom 2 teeth have just come through together. All great. Except I'm ebf and this is getting really quite painful, more in one side than on the other.

It's probably a silly question but is there anything at all that makes it less painful other than outright stopping the bf which I don't want to do just yet??

Dd is 8 months and also has 2 bottom teeth. Watching with interest as although it has settled down again I am dreading the top two coming through!

Hmm, the bottom teeth shouldn't be touching anything as his tongue should be in the way.

However what might be happening is that when they get a new tooth or teeth, it takes them a while to get used to latching with their new mouth shape, and this can be painful, especially if the teeth are in direct contact with the nipple.

It usually settles down in a couple of days though but then it might take longer to heal! Try lansinoh or all of the remedies you used when they were tiny. I fed DS until he was 4 and he had a full set of teeth by then, so it's not that bad. I think the first middle 4 are probably the worst though. But really they can feed with teeth, they just have to adjust to it.
