Feeding and crying CONSTANTLY

My DS is 5 weeks old and EBF. Since yesterday he has been feeding for an hour, having half hour gap then feeding for an hour. If he's not feeding he's crying to be fed. We've had no problems so far, he's gaining weight and has plenty wet and dirty nappies. His crying is becoming upsetting now and I'm exhausted from constant feeding. Any idea what's up??

Hi. sounds like a growth spurt. Has he been sleeping a lot aswell or the days before? I know its exhausting but keep going but make sure you eat and drink enough as well.

Sounds like he is getting plenty of food. Is he maybe crying after his feeds because of tiredness? Do you swaddled him to get him settled or will he sleep out in a pram maybe?

Is he sick at all. Could it be reflux or silent reflux? The constant swallowing is apparently soothing so they feed a lot more.

(Or so I'm sure I've read on MN I'm sure experts will correct me)
