Breastfeeding sudden drop in supply

I wonder if any of you have experienced this, or have any advice.

Our LO is now 7 months old, exclusively breastfed, and I've had on and off issues with supply. I take fenugreek, but find that my supply seems to cycle and can dip suddenly within 24 hours - so much so that one day I can feed LO from one side and she's sated and happy, the next day I'm switching boobs three or four times just to fill her up. The thing is, we've now worked out that this dip happens regularly, almost every 3-4 weeks. I'm not on any contraceptive pill, my periods haven't returned, and I feed on demand. Is it possible that even if I'm not bleeding, my hormones are still cycling and that my supply dips when my hormones correspond to 'that time of the month' even if I'm not bleeding?? It is so frustrating. Babe is growing well, 50th centile, gaining well, but I have several days where I am glued to the sofa feeding her on these low supply days before my milk suddenly returns again. Anyone else had this? Is there anything I can do to boost supply during these days??

Sunday, what you are describing sounds like the normal and expected changes in needs and appetite that happen to most babies - it may also be connected with your supply, but as your baby is fine and continuing to thrive, it's not really a problem, honestly. Being pinned to the sofa for a number of days every few weeks is not all that uncommon.

There is nothing you can do to boost supply except what you are doing - nothing boosts supply better than feeding :)
