breast size while breast feeding - will it change again?

I'm ebf, and my son is one month old. My breasts are massive! My back measurement has gone down a bit, so I can do up my bras on a smaller fastening, but my breasts are easily an f cup, maybe more, when I was a d/dd before pg.

My question is, will my breasts stay this f cup + size all the time I'm breast feeding, or will they settle down a bit? Feeling a bit wobbly about having such enormous breasts for an indefinite amount of time!

Mine were up a back size and at least 2, maybe 3 cup sizes at that stage. By 9 months they were more like one cup size up, same back. I felt a bit ridiculous as I was otherwise back to my normal size then.

After a year I was wearing my pre-pregnancy bras and was my pre-preg size all over.

I am still bf-ing at 18 months and they have only just increased a teeny bit though I am 15 weeks pregnant. (Last pregnancy they went up at least a cup size instantly.)

So in my experience they do settle down, but not that quickly.

Thanks weebairn. I'm enjoying the feeding but not theDolly parton look!

I hated it too. What bras have you got? Around this time might be worth getting yourself properly measured and buying a good fitting, pretty bra, to cheer yourself up...

I had a decent one from bravissimo, very pretty, but soft cup so still a bit mono-boob-y on - but very very pretty and feminine, wore that a lot on lie-around the house days

and THEN I found out that anita do an underwired one and basically lived in that for the next year. Not as sexy to look at but felt like a normal woman again wearing it.

If you get measured I recommend john lewis or bravissimo if there's one near you, m&s/ mother care have no idea what they are doing. Hmm

Also, to be enjoying the feeding at only one month in shows you are absolutely doing brilliantly! It does get much, much easier. :)

Great tips, think I will try getting measured in bravissimo and then take it from there. Thanks very much!

The Bravado Seamless Silks were brilliant for me. They come in S,M,L rather than back and cup sizes and are stretchy, so adapt to your changing shape over the first few months. When I wore structured nursing bras I ended up with blocked ducts as my boobs were never the same size from one week to the next.

Disappointingly I've gone from Katie Price to Kate Moss over the past 2 years (from the neck down).

Mine gradually shrunk down again, but not straight away. They particularly shrunk after DS started solids and gradually took less milk, plus a lot as I lost weight. Still BF twice a day at 18 months and I'm back in my pre-pregnancy bras (I went from a D to an F)
