Engorgement at 8 weeks.

Dd is 8 weeks old. Ebf. Had a lot of engorgement for the first week or two of bf but it's been fine until 2 days ago.

I keep getting engorged. Nothing has changed, no formula or long lenths of sleep...so why would l be getting engorged now? Is this common?

What can i do to prevent it from happening again?

TIA.

I've no experience of this sorry, but wondered whether expressing might help? Might help your boobs feel less sore of nowt else?

I actually had to express this morning as my boobs were so painful & hard dd couldn't latch on. I only expressed enough to give me a bit of relief as i don't want to encourage any extra milk.

It ridiculous- it's as bad as when she was a week old!!

I think there's a growth spurt around 6-7 weeks, so maybe she has been taking lots of extra milk and now is back to normal and your supply hasn't adjusted down yet.
