Fussy feeding on one side

What would make a baby fussy (arching back, pushing away, swinging gead from side to side) feeding on one boob and not the other? I have thought about ear infection, but anything else I should consider? Thanks

Forgot to say, he is 8 weeks old and fussiness started recently. It last for the whole length of the feed on that side.

DD is 16 weeks and does this at some feeds and not the same boob she fusses at either. Teething was suggested to me but sometimes I think it is just her and changing sides is enough and putting her back on the other one at the end of the feed. Their is another baby at my breastfeedig group who does this as well for no apparent reason too.

My ds when he was smaller used to do this occasionally, i think feeding him in a rugby ball type hold helped, so he was the same side up for each breast, he was curled round my waist on a cushion. I imagine a Google would show you how!
Perhaps worth a trip to doctors if not better soon though?
Advice i was given at time was to make sure i didn't avoid feeding that side as risk of engorgement and possible mastitis.
Perhaps worth seeing bf counsellor or calling breastfeeding network number or la leche league/ nct?
