Breastfeeding and Periods

Hello everyone (im sorry for the gory bits )

I am currently breastfeeding my ds who is 8 months old and i am currently on my second period since having him. I know this may be a bit yeww but my first period was like niagra falls i was bleeding so much i had to change my towel like once every half hour and the blood was bright red.

However i am half way through my second period and its completely different its just a trickle, i know this may be tmi but its brown and i was over a week late just, wondering if this is normal when ur breastfeeding. sorry for the gory details espec on me first thread

Iregular, un even, short, long, light, heavey and any mix of teh above seem to be normal while breast feeding!
TMI back at you- my cycle has been between 11 and 32 days since DS was 7 wks old.

I had one af when ds was 9m which was much shorter and lighter than pre-pg, then nothing. Then BFP.... But when I was asking about bf and af at the time, some people said theirs came back as normal but others said theirs were unpredictable in duration, flow and regularity IYKWIM. HTH!

I had my first af when my dd was 9 months, bloody awful!! I should have started on Monday but have not. I assume that it will take a long time to settle down as I am still b/feeding
