My DD is nearly 6 months old, and EBF. She has always had a high need for comfort sucking, but it seems to be getting worse. She now needs something in her mouth nearly all the time when she is asleep, and wakes frequently (at least hourly, often half hourly) and if there isn't a nipple there she goes into meltdown. I've tried using a dummy, but it doesn't stop how often she wakes, and it's usually dropped out of her mouth by then so it hasn't helped. With it getting worse I can't see how it will have improved by the time I go back to work, and I'm exhausted!
