happily breast feeding 10mth old but HV keep telling me I need to reduce feeds now so that baby will increase food intake. Baby eats really well. 3 meals a day plus 2 snacks. eats lots of different foods and weight gain is fine.
I don't think i need to reduce feeds as I feed on demand. Just wanting reasurance that you cant over feed a breast fed baby right?

Sounds good to me.
What happened to food just being for fun until one?

They've told me the same. DS still feeds 4-5 times and doesn't eat a great deal. There's so much contradictory advice. I don't know what to do..

Absolutely. I bfed to 2y and 3y. Both dc were tall, lean, healthy. Ate solids, drank water/juice. Had as much bm as they wanted.

It ain't broke, so don't fix it.

Oh, and I bfed one to 5m - he was tall, skinny, ate like a bird. Still does. And very healthy.

What weird advice - if your baby is eating well and gaining weight, why would you reduce feeds?
