I am down do one feed a day , first thing in the morn, ds is 7 months old, just wondering how long I can expect to be able to do this? We are doing it for a week now. I assume if there was no milk there he wouldn't latch on?

You might be able to keep it up for as long as you want. I did one feed a day for a few months with one of mine.

I managed 8 weeks with mine. It all fizzled out because of a few things getting in the way I.e. early morning meetings, her biting me, DH giving me a lie in etc.

Have been doing one feed a day for 5months now.

I am down to one feed a day with my 17 month old now and hoping to continue indefinitely.

Ah good, I assume he is getting some of the benefits with one feed? I assume if the milk was gone he wouldn't latch on, is that how I'll know if he is getting nothing?

He'll be getting a proportion of the benefits, yes.
