WB - I bf DD but I still don't see how this picture has anything to do with a fashion shoot. Surely the point of a fashion shoot is to show the clothes in their best light ? I hardly think hiding them behind a sleeping child is the best way to do that in a posed photo (if it is one)

I just like it, I like the way it isn't a typical representation of motherhood. I mean her face is quite scary as expat says, quite austere and glamorous. Usually when you see pictures of women breastfeeding it is all soft focus and they have masses of curly hair and a big wafty frock.

fashion shoots often have pictures which don't show of clothes very well IMO - I think the photographers get all carried away plus they think they're artists! but I do get your point

however from the text I think it's more an editorial feature though, rather than strictly a fashion shoot focusing on cloths. it just happens to be in Vogue, and therefore it's a model in pricey threads

I think it's the fact that the breastfeeding is incidental that I really like

Sorry, MrsJC. I haven't seen the pic in RL (I'm not a Vogue kinda gal), so I was working on the premise of Northerner saying that it was part of a fashion shoot in her 8.57pm post

lovely breastfeeding pic. i think he may have fallen asleep at the breast, there is a little puckering round the bottom of the nipple area.

OMG she does have gold teeth. If you click on the pic it enlarges it. There is def puckering on the nipple though.

It is a lovely picture. Agree that the little hand clutching onto the top is very realistic. Nice to see an older child being bf.

I just got caught up reading the text because it seemed really irrelvant - all about braces

no vogues in this house, believe me (and all I know about high fashion I learnt from America's Next Top Model....so not a lot then)

Jools you don't need "norks full of milk" to breastfeed a toddler. They go down to what they were before, if not less, I can relate from bitter experience
