Hi, just after some advice on whether to bother my GP or not. Finished breast feeding about 6 months ago after feeding DD until 11 months. Stopped slowly and gradually, one feed at a time but now one breast is still a bit leaky!! yuck!!! it's not too bad but if i lie on the floor resting on it there is often a wet patch. Can any one offer any advice or at least tell me i'm not weird!!

just as an aside whilst i was feeding i had enough milk to keep a small army of baby's well fed, the oposite side to which she was attached would leak on average 4-6oz!! and had to change breats pads hourly!!

Katzguk, no ideas, sorry, I'll bump you though.

PS I'm another leaker with lots of breast pads...

Katzguk, I think this is on the range of normal....I have certainly heard of it happening, though it is unusual. It's more likely if your breasts are stimulated in love play - this seems to keep production going. It's not at all unusual to have milk available on hand expressing or squeezing for months and even years and years, but the leaking seems to happen when there is this stimulation. Yes, see your GP, but be prepared for him/her to know not very much! Of course it's a good idea to get it checked out, without assuming there is anything wrong.

My mum says that she never dried up between my brother and me, she could always express, and even occasionally leaked. She too was a copious producer. Like tiktok says, sounds normal but might as well check it out.
