Hi

I have 3 month old twins and I am using Gina Ford routines. What I am trying to figure out is how much formula they should be drinking per feed?
He is 5.7 kg and she is 5.1 kg

i thought rule of thumb was when they drain the bottle, up the ounces.. so they should mostly always leave an ounce in the bottom?

disclaimer I didn't use formula so that might be crap Grin

Usually (as a rough guide) babies take about 2.5x their weight in lbs in oz per day iyswim - so a 5kg/11lb baby would need around 28oz a day, a 12lb baby around 30oz.

So guessing a 3 month old is having 6-8 feeds a day, I'd probably offer 4 or 5oz per feed and see if they want more/less.
