Tips on getting EBF baby to take bottle

I am EBF my 13wo and up until about 8w he was happily taking the odd bottle of EBM from a dr browns bottle. On NYE he had jabs and as we were going out for dinner and I'd be having a couple of wines I took a bottle and he just kept chewing on it and spitting it out. I ended up having to breastfeed and put it down to him feeling off because of the jabs. However, I've not been able to get him to take a bottle since. I went to the theatre last week as I was gifted the tickets. All week I was worrying about this but the day before I got him to drink a bit of EBM from a mam bottle. However I was gone for 7 hours and he refused a feed all that time! Sad
My older son happily mix fed (he was FF and BF) so I'm at a bit of a loss here.
Does anyone have any advice for me? Shall I try a different bottle, different teat? Has anyone else been through this. Aside from the fact i would like the odd couple of hours out or be able to take an early night while dad does a feed - I only really wanted to BF for 6 months and at this rate I can't see that happening.

I'm having a problem feeding my lo at all atm unless she's fast asleep so don't have much advice but...

I did try switching from Avent Natural to Tommy Tippee bottles a few weeks ago when the problem began and she seemed to prefer the Tommy Tippee bottle - more like a boob I think.

Other thing that helped a bit was feeding in a dark, quiet room.

Now, she just takes it when she's asleep as a dream feed so maybe try that and hope he starts taking it during the day in time.

Unfortunately that's a pretty common age for babies who previously took a bottle to suddenly start regarding it as The Devil's Instrument.

Try different milk temperatures (my DS1 liked his milk very warm) and/or different feeding positions as well as bottles - DS1 liked his bottle in a position as unlike BF as possible, ie in a bouncy chair. Or if all else fails you could wait a little while and try a cup? DS2 had no truck with bottles at all but got the hang of a cup pretty early, like around 4.5 months. Open Doidy cup first and then a Nuk soft spout sippy.

Update, have had success with a nuk latex teat if anyone else has same issue Smile
