Is regression common when new sibling arrives?

This has had me wondering for a while and I wondered what others experiences are/were?

I stopped bfing my son just before his first birthday and he will be 20 months when his sibling arrives (assuming pregnancy continues ok). Is there a chance he may regress to wanting to be breast fed again when the newborn arrives? If so did anyone allow their older child to restart feeding?

I guess I am asking as I never wanted to stop bfing him at all. I only stopped so I could conceive again and also he had lost interest. I loved the idea of tandem feeding but I'm not sure if I am romanticising the idea of it. I keep wondering though if he shows an interest to start again whether I should let him? Or do they forget how anyway?
