Just wondering how many breastfeeds a day your 10 month old is having to see if my DD is about the same. Thanks

3, before the two daily naps and before bedtime. Yours?

Generally 1 early morning, 1 mid day & then 1 before bed but can be more depending how this are. Night time is a whole other issue.....

(And did it again)

on the low side. She feeds after she wakes up in the morning, last thing at night before bed then usually once in the night. She naps twice a day and use to feed to sleep for them but over the last week has refused day time feeds :(

I'm now formula feeding, but we're mainly 3, too. One first thing, one after her lunchtime nap, one before bed. If she hasn't eaten well or I just think she needs it I offer a bottle of milk then, too. Cool boiled water whenever else and whenever eating.

Not quite 10mo, but DS has a bf upon waking, mid morning, before afternoon nap and then a bottle before bed.
The afternoon feed probably isn't 100% necessary! but I like to make sure his tank is full so he doesn't wake up early from the nap because he's hungry Smile

9.5 mo ds feeds once in the morning on waking, and generally once more round about lunchtime and then has ebm before bed.

The daytime feed(s) - I offer boob before naps (9am, 12ish) & again later in the day if he's unsettled, but he'll generally only take a feed once during the day, usually lunchtime.

I just feel better if he's had the option, if that doesn't sound odd? He's eating plenty solids so feel he can gauge how much milk he wants/needs.

Both of mine had 4 a day at that age - morning, around lunchtime, late afternoon, and bedtime. DS2 is still the same on days I'm not at work and he's 14 months - he eats loads and generally sleeps pretty well, so if it ain't broke...

I am thinking of starting to slow down - I'd like to stop breastfeeding when he is one year old, but given that I got him used to feed to sleep it will be fun to change that!
Sorry, completely different topic...

DD is 9.5 months and just dropped a feed and now has 4 a day: first thing, mid-morning (after nap), mid-afternoon (after nap) and bedtime.

Jo1984uk · 31/01/2014 07:40

About 4 during the day, sometimes more often if shes teething.

Overnight... I loose count! At least 5. I keep saying to myself she will start to drop feeds but it's just not happening Hmm
