As it says really. I am finally managing to get 4mo DS onto a bottle (after a month of trying). I want the flexibility of him able to take a bottle which I didn't get for 13 months with DD as I'm heading back to work sooner.
Problem is I have no idea how much to give him, DD was EBF until we were only on a bedtime feed at 13 months, and DS has been EBF every 2-3 hours so far. I'm aiming to do either the bedtime or dreamfeed on a bottle. Otherwise he currently has bm (give or take a bit) at 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm, 6pm (small feed to keep him from getting unhappy in the bath) then 8pm, 11pm.
If he's battling to nap (3 or 4 a day) I might give him a minute or two on the boob to get him off to sleep too.
Should I make a bottle and just see how much he wants? I don't want to overfeed on forumla, I suspect he'll fall asleep on the bottle but equally if I made 200ml he may well take 200ml (clueless...)
Expressing is not an option - I did this a lot with DD but this time around with work schedule and toddler it's just not practical for me this time around unfortunately.
Thanks.
