EBF best bottle/teat

We've just introduced a bottle of expressed milk at 6 weeks and he seems to guzzle it and then be sick. Last night he drank 6oz! Should I be trying a different teat to encourage him to slow down? Tried stopping and winding and he just cried!

Currently using the tommee tippee little bottles.

Thanks

6oz is an awful lot for a tiny baby. It's very likely that he took in too much and brought up what he couldn't contain.

You could try feeding him in a more upright position, and try to find the most slow flow teat available.

Recommending a particular bottle is almost impossible - all babies and boobs are different. There is no one size fits all.

Use slow flow/newborn teats for bf babies regardless of age. Have a look on the Best for Babes website- there is a really good article on there somewhere about responsive bottle feeding and the reasons babies appear to guzzle down feeds.

They're expensive, but medela Calma bottles make baby work for the milk so they can't guzzle in quite the same way.
