Ds bit me very badly

Ds2 is 21 months old and still bf. he feeds a lot in the night (usually he's half asleep).

Last night he bit me, he obviously didn't mean to as I could see he was sleeping and feeding. It was very, very hard and his front two teeth sliced right into my nipple. It bled a lot.

All day it has been bleeding on and off and is really sore and it has gone a bit nasty already (swollen and a bit of pus). I don't know what's best to put on it and I really don't want to bf him from that side tonight as its really hurting.

What would heal it quickly and prevent any infection?

Does it feel hot to touch? Try a bit of your milk on it - but I think you should see your gp if it is swollen, still bleeding and producing pus. Can you express from that side or is it too painful?

I don't think I could feed or express, its really sore and when it bleeds it bleeds a lot. I've got some salon, might try that and see if I can avoid that side till the morning feed and give it time to heal a bit.

I was thinking of weaning ds anyway but he's very attached to his feeds and begs and cries if I try to distract him. He feeds so much as well as I'm exhausted.
