Engorged breast at night

My 11 week old who has been mixed fed for last couple of weeks has started sleeping though the night. Terrible problem to have I know!
He tends to get formula a 5 ish and I do last feed just before 7.
Keep waking with engorged breasts before he does! Last night I felt a lump stArting and ended up getting him up at midnight to feed. Don't want to keep doing this as he is sleeping perfectly well without a dream feed.
I did loan a pump for a while from a sure stArt centre but had to give it back. Not massively into pumping and not bothered about working a supply so I am loathe to buy one especially as I am not sure if I will fb for much longer ( nipple blister issues).
So my question is is it necessary to pump at night or will my body adjust / will the pumping just extend out the problem so to speak? Hate to be vain but I am sure this is what is gonna make my boobs even droopier !
Do I need an electric or will a manual do ?
( I should add I can afford electric just don't want to waste money if unnecessary)

If you pump then your boobs will think you need the milk. Can you hand express a bit off in the night to make you more comfy until your boobs get the hint? Currently feeding 6 week dd on balloon sized boob as she went 5 hours :-)
