Green poo in breastfed babe

Anyone got any advice please?
My ds is 14 weeks and breastfed after a very rocky start.
In the last two weeks her poo has gone a vile shade of green from the usual sunshine yellow? It's got so bad she's now got nappy rash.
I'm sure I'm not doing anything different from normal - it's driving me insane and really knocking my confidence in breastfeeding. Please help!

Ccompletely normal, it just depends on what you are eating, No problem. My DD has severe nappy rash very often which turns into thrush nearly every time. It most definitely the poo she is 'allergic'to. Hoping it means I can potty train her early!!! Keep going with the feeding if you can ....
Pampers do a great newborn nappy now, can't remember what they are called but they are only in the 1st 2 sizes, and they have a 'weave' on the top which really helps get the poo away from their skin......

SerenOO - normal variation, maybe nothing to do with your diet, may just reflect the speed with which milk has sped through gut - the yellow colour comes later

In a baby who's thriving and happy, it is of no significance at all.

Change her nappy in the dark then you won't see it

Seren, this happened to dd from time to time and I got worried too and did lots of research. Basically, unless there's a stomach bug, it's most likely that she's getting a lot of fore milk which goes through the digestive system v. quickly and comes out only partly digested, i.e. green rather than yellowy-brown. How do you feed her - do you do one side or two? If you do two make sure that she's completely finished on the first side so she's getting the creamier hind milk which will settle her stomach. Some people recommend too that you feed exclusively on one side for 2-3 feeds before then going onto the other side. But most of all don't worry, it's really nothing serious and will definitely settle down.

I was told that this is due to over feeding but at the same time not to limit a baby's feeding at such a young age and just accept that it's quite normal whilst they're still sussing out how much milk they actually need to take in. Don't worry i had it with both of mine

Absolutely normal! I was told that it meant that they weren't getting enough of the hind milk, but I'm not sure if that's and old wive's tale or not. I think dd's are harder to keep clean (nappy rash wise) than ds's. Or at least in my case it was. I found that pamper's and huggies gave both my ds and dd nappy rash (and had these awful gel balls that came out of the nappies). I had great luck with Tesco's brand nappies and after I stopped shopping at Tesco's (wouldn't let me exchange some nappies) I now use either the Nature..? line of the Sainsbury's brand nappies or the Asda brand nappies (the cheapest ones).
