DS is 4 weeks old, mostly FF but EBM when I can get anything. DS is very farty, but barely gets his wind up after feeding. When trumping or pooing he sometimes strains to the point where I think he may explode because he goes so red (poos are always soft BTW) and its very rare he settles properly after feeding, he just gets horrendous hiccups which take an age to get rid of. DH and I were both fed goats milk as kids becuase we were allergic to cows milk & dairy, so my questions are......
1, is it worth asking HV if DS my be allergic too? and..
2, MW has recommended trying Infacol for his wind, I'm convinced she said to mix it in his bottle with his milk even though the instructions say otherwise and DH cant remember what she said (useful creature my hubby!!) has anyone else tried this? and...
3, Any tips for getting rid of hiccups?

Thanks!!! xxx

Not all babies burp much after feeding. It may not be a problem.

Straining to the point of explosion = perfectly normal at 4 weeks. He doesn't really know how things work yet.

From what I read when mine were little, an allergy would have him doing abnormal (explosive, foamy, green or mucusy) poos. Hiccups are more of a reflux thing. Does he cry a lot? How is his weight gain? How is his sleep?

We used Infacol in DD's bottles successfully for a while, though it's worth bearing in mind that if he is refluxy, Infacol makes it worse.

You can't get rid of hiccups (unless they are caused by reflux and you treat that).
