milk refusal :'(

my ds is 8 months old and is currently on day 4 of suffering from acute tonsillitis. At first he would knly have milk and no solids. Now he is starting to perk up (thank the lord) he is refusing milk or having very little of his bottle but taking forever and is just gumming the teat.

Anyone else experienced this or have any ideas as to how to get him to have more milk. He was bf for 4 weeks and has since been on aptamil. I'm reluctant to change milk as he not had any problems with it.

I have even tried putting his milk in his sippy cup as he drinks water fine but no, shuts up shop

Have you tried giving him ibruprofen before his bottle?

Do you give warm milk. Have you tried cold?

tried a room temperature carton of aptamil follow on milk last night and he lapped it up. He had pretty much all the carton again this morning and then had 4oz at dinner and then 4oz before bed.

HV said its fine cos he has.a.varied diet and eats a lot of cheese and yoghurt but I still want him to have more milk
