Time between feeds

My 9 week old is starting to go a bit longer between feeds and even went nearly 5 hours the other night. My concern is will this effect my supply? At what point can you stop worrying about such things? I know after 4 hours my boobs are heavy and leaky so should I be pumping in between feeds? Even when there is a chance I might get some good sleep? Xx

I have a 9 week old too and she has also just started going 4-5 hours maximum without a feed at night. I don't think expressing whilst she is asleep is necessary. If course if you want a good time to build up a supply of expressed milk it's a good idea, but not necessary just because she isn't feeding for 4-5 hrs. I find before a 4-5 he sleep she demands lots of little feeds over the space of 2-3 hrs.

V unlikely to affect supply so if you can cope for a couple of nights and not express, your boobs will figure it out and remember - clever things (.)(.)

My 3 mo has gone 4 or 5 hours since 3 or 4 weeks. No problems with supply and am still ebf. Biggest issue is bloated boobs and soggy pj tops when he goes longer...
