Dry throat and breastfeeding

Does anyone else breastfeeding have a really dry throat? I first noticed it within days of starting, and its been quite up and down but is always there. DD is 13 weeks now so I finally have enough brain back to make the connection and realise it's been constantly bad rather than a succession of bad throats close together.
It was worst over xmas and I even lost my voice for a day. Again with the benefit of hindsight over xmas I was away from home so drinking less as I was sat around waiting to be offered drinks rather than helping myself all day long, plus I drank more tea+booze and less water+squash.
Is this normal? How can I get rid of it? I now have a tickly cough with it which often wakes DD when she's at a delicate stage of near-sleep.

Meant to add it is quite painful in a low key kind of way and I am producing some lovely chunky phlegm. It's like an illness sore throat but no other symptoms and it never leaves.

Does your throat hurt too lama? Anyone else? I am and will continue to try and keep drinking lots but I'm trying to work out if I need to visit the doc or if it'll just pass.

Not a sore throat but I've had headaches on and off and a constant snotty le level bleeding nose. It's gross and pissing me off. I have no useful advice I'm afraid just sympathy.

I've just stopped BFing at 7 months but even on our last feed, I had to make sure I had a big glass of water near by.

The chances of you seeing this 6 years later are slim but you never know..
I’m 13 months into breastfeeding and have the same symptoms and have from the get go..wondering when I stop BF the dry throat and itchy throat will go? Did it go for you?
