Every feed my 4 Month old will be feeding lovely then he will suddenly decide to bite down hard and really hurt me.

He is teething but it is making me very nervous before every feed, I want to carry on breastfeeding for as long as possible so if anyone has any advice or suggestions to stop my son thinking that I am a teether toy it will be greatly appreciated!

My 11 week old has started clamping during feeds. I haven't yet found a solution.

I'll keep you company while an expert comes along ...

I'm no expert but my dd is 20 weeks and has bottom 2 teeth already and I think there are more on the way!! She was biting me quite a lot at first but seems to be better after a week. I found she would be more inclined to bite when coming to the end of a feed so would be ready to unlatch quickly! Also if she was crying and I offered her breast when she wasn't really hungry she would clamp down in frustration ! Sonow I only offer once and make sure she really wants it before putting it near those teeth. Oh also the granules are good for distracting her from e pain.

When DD got bottom teeth she started biting - I take her off straight away (once she had unclamped her jaw!) and say NO and put her away from me. This upsets her, obviously, she is still hungry. I have no idea if this works or if she just stopped anyway, but it has reduced the biting!
